At Home Caregiver

Position Overview

We are looking for compassionate At Home Caregivers for our Visiting Angels office in Bettendorf, servicing the Quad Cities area including Clinton, Maquoketa, Davenport, Bettendorf, Muscatine, and surrounding areas.

Pay
: $14.00-$16.00 per hour.

The role is entry‑level and offers a chance to give back to the community while developing skills in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Go shopping or accompany clients when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
• Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.

• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
