As a Clinic RN at Mercy One, you will assume responsibility/accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment, and other health care team members.

Full time

Day Shift

• Full time, 40 hours a week
• Monday-Friday 07:00-15:30
• No weekends or holidays

• Responsible for planning, assessing, intervening, co‑coordinating and providing direct patient care by utilizing critical thinking skills.
• Communicates with physicians, ancillary caregivers, patients, and families regarding the patient’s plan of care.
• Performs assessments including physical, psychosocial, nutritional, functional, safety, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs.
• Reviews various test results and takes appropriate actions.
• Makes nursing decisions regarding patient status and immediate care needs.
• Provides patient and family education and makes referrals to other agencies.

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse - Board of Nursing, State of Iowa.
• Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.
• Experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to problem solve, use critical thinking, and assess patient conditions.
• Must possess a personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, and vision of Trinity Health.

• Associate degree or diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
