Safety & Quality Coordinator

Location: Clinton, IA

Salary: $60,000.00 USD Annually - $75,000.00 USD Annually

Large manufacturing company is looking for a Safety & Quality Coordinator for their facility in the Clinton, IA area. The Safety & Quality Coordinator works within the plant to ensure compliance with all required regulations, company safety programs, and Finished Product requirements.

• Administers safety program: compliance with laws and regulations, conducts OSHA safety training for new employees and on a monthly/annual basis, performs safety facility audits, conducts safety meetings, performs accident investigations and advises management on corrective action needed.
• Conducts training of employees in safety compliance, site inspections, log review, and report preparation. Ensures compliance with:
  • Company's Safety Policy
  • Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC)
  • Site-specific safety procedures and policies
• Performs tests on incoming and outgoing product, records results and reports any problems to management.
• Reviews all plant documentation associated with finished product shipments, in-process control documents, and addresses any corrective action as needed.
• Responsible for completion of internal audits and corrective action.
• Audits all of the plant's daily documentation, approves documents, addresses corrective actions, ensures their completion, and files documents accordingly.
• Will need to complete PCQI Certification Training Course.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• PCQI certification OR must become certified upon hire through the completion of the company or other industry FDA-recognized curriculum.
• Minimum 1 year of quality assurance experience in food production, agriculture or related field.
