Role focuses on delivering fast, friendly, accurate and safe service to customers. Cashiers process Checkout and/or Return transactions, monitor the Self-Checkout area, and seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies to minimize shrink. Head Cashier responsibilities include expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental;

providing first level escalation for customer issues; and coaching/training Front End Associates.

The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of cashier experience.

• Provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service at checkout and returns; process Checkout and/or Return transactions; monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area.
• Proactively seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities.
• Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
• Support Head Cashier by expediting price checks and approving POS transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
• Provide first level escalation for customer issues.
• Assist in supervision, coaching and training of Front End Associates; participate in training of new Cashiers and use available tools to coach and develop others.
