# Field Technician - Construction Materials Testing This role will involve working out on site obtaining various soil and construction material samples and testing them in-situ. Consideration will be given to experienced field technicians.  What we do need is for you to have a clean UK driving license and a desire to work outdoors in all weathers.  This is a

* Key Responsibilities:

*** On-site sampling and testing of various construction materials e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt
* Completion of test sheets and data entry onto tablets
* Liaising with senior members of staff on work schedules and testing procedures
* Working within in-house quality assurance systems
* Maintain high levels of health and safety in line with company policies

Qualifications:

*** GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
*
* About You:

**** Essential
* ** Clean UK driving licence
* You will need good communication skills - both written and verbal
* Manual handling and physical activity are daily requirements – samples can weigh in excess of 15kg
* You must be confident to work in a team environment
* Self-motivated, proactive and able to organise your own workload
** Desirable
* ** Previous experience in a UKAS accredited testing environment in a similar role
* Knowledge of testing standards and processes

*** Basic salary is £27,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on the level of experience.  Overtime is available after 40 hours and weekends at enhanced rates
