Paraprofessional - Special Education

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at CJHS as a (1-1) Paraprofessional in Special Education. This full‑time position involves supporting students with diverse learning needs and assisting teachers in creating an inclusive and effective learning environment.

• Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities
• Work with individual students or small groups to provide academic support and guidance
• Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive and safe classroom environment
• Assist with classroom management and discipline as needed
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or teacher

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
