Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level II NICU position requiring BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications with CPAP and neonatal specialty experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level II NICU (Special Care Nursery) setting
- Provide care for newborns 32 weeks gestation or greater
- Shift is three 12-hour days from 07:00 to 19:30
- Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Floating required to Postpartum and Labor and Delivery to provide neonatal care
- Involvement in specialized procedures including lumbar puncture and endotracheal resuscitation
- Responsibilities include consistent monitoring and maintaining cardiopulmonary, neurologic, metabolic, and thermal stability for neonatal patients
- Ability to initiate, modify, or discontinue treatment as appropriate under established protocols or physician orders
- Locals within 60 miles are accepted
- Holiday coverage is required as scheduled
- Support and collaborate closely with physicians for neonatal procedures
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Level II NICU experience required
- CPAP experience required
- First-time travelers with NICU experience accepted
