American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with travel and high-volume trauma center experience, requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications along with a compact or MD RN license.

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
• 13-week assignment with day (4x12, 11:00-23:30) or night (4x12, 19:00-7:30) shifts, with 3x12 or 4x12 mids/nights also accepted
• Cerner EMR used, experience required
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Floating required within skillset
• Performs cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Utilizes BiPAP/CPAP management and cares for ventilated patients
• Performs triage, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions/PPE

• Active compact RN license or MD RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• 2 years of recent ED experience required
• Must have worked within the past 8 months in an ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (125/day)
• Triage experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing assignment required for consideration
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

• Flu vaccine required for all employees at this facility
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• Previous Med Star employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
