American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital position requiring 2 years of experience and Cerner proficiency.

• MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Float required to units of equivalent or lower acuity

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
• 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Skills required:
  
  MS/Tele, Cardiac Monitoring, Genitourinary/Renal, and IV therapy/Phlebotomy
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment

• Provide nursing care for medical/surgical and telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia management
• Flu vaccine required for all employees
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Previous Med Star employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
