American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of experience and at least one completed travel assignment.

• Work on the MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift (3x12, 7a-7p) or night shift (3x12, 7p-7a) available
• No rotation between AM and PM shifts within the same week
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating required
• Uses Pyxis medication system
• Cerner charting experience preferred

• Active compact RN license or MD RN license required
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• 1:6 patient ratio experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Experience with cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

• Provide care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including orthopedic trauma cases
• Flu vaccine required for all employees
• Scrubs not provided; ceil blue scrub color required
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• Candidates with previous Med Star employment must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
