Base pay range$15.00/hr - $17.50/hr
Responsibilities- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., proactive help, identifying needs).
- Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade‑up and/or companion items.
- Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
- Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
- Implement company asset‑protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
- Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies and procedures; perform stock rotation using the first‑in, first‑out method.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine; suggestively sell promotional photo products.
- Assume web pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders in Picture Care Plus, pick items, deliver orders to customers as they arrive).
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
