American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position requiring SC/compact RN licensure and EPIC EMR experience.

• Inpatient Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
• Patient population includes cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
• Performs vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 1900 to 0730
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Floating required to similar units or other facilities depending on census needs

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients, monitoring for dysrhythmias and responding to emergent cardiac events
• Orientation occurs every Monday along with annual compliance training
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules required for all travelers, to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible at full pay rate, with reduced rates available for those 90-99.9 miles away
• Night shift candidates in this specialty may be eligible at 50+ miles from the contracted campus, with reduced rates for 50-99.9 miles and full rate at 100+ miles
