American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring an active SC or compact RN license and EPIC EMR experience on night shift.

• Inpatient Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
• Cares for cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
• Performs or supports vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Floating required to like units or other facilities depending on census needs

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in field required, though candidates with 1+ years of recent unit experience will be considered
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required based on facility needs, limited to competencies already demonstrated and documented
• Orientation occurs every Monday along with an annual compliance requirement
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Travelers must be located more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay, with reduced rates for 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift candidates in this specialty must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus, with reduced pay for 50-99.9 miles and ineligibility under 50 miles
