Anderson County EMS provides 911 emergency response and convalescent transport for more than 80,000 residents across 345 square miles. We respond to more than 20,000 calls each year. The work is varied, the clinical decisions matter, and you will be part of a team that supports one another through demanding calls and everyday growth.

Our crews have access to equipment and protocols that help them deliver thoughtful, capable care:

• Auto Vent respirators and Zoll transport ventilators
• Progressive clinical protocols

We want providers who take pride in their craft, use these resources well, and keep learning as patient care evolves.

We teach our Community Paramedic program in-house and are pursuing in-house Critical Care education for fall 2027. Our Career Development Program offers leadership, clinical specialist, training specialist, community relations specialist, and rescue specialist pathways, with a pay increase for each level achieved. We also provide extensive on-site training at no cost and paid hours to complete state and National Registry requirements.

Our station-based system uses move-ups as needed to maintain coverage. Current operations include six 24-hour ALS units on a 24/72 rotation, two 12-hour daytime ALS units, and five BLS units on varied schedules.

• Paramedic starting pay: $22.77 per hour;
  Critical Care Paramedic/Community Paramedic starting pay: $23.77 per hour; with higher rates based on experience
• 14 paid holidays each year, regardless of schedule, plus vacation, sick leave, and personal paid time off
• Overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a week

Monthly medical plan rates vary by selection: single $50–$180; employee plus one $160–$380; family $275–$490.
