Day Shift schedule, 8 hours/day, shift assignment will be between hours of 7:00AM – 5:00PM
Dura-Line is searching for a dedicated, dynamic individual with a strong commitment to attendance and work ethics to join our team. We are currently seeking a Shipping Attendant to play a crucial role in the proper preparation and loading/unloading of shipments, ensuring the seamless flow of finished products.

Responsibilities- Process Optimization: Coordinate the loading and unloading of product shipments, complete paperwork, proper documentation, bills of lading and storage of product within operational standards for processing time and other specifications to enhance output and maintain quality conditions.
- Performance Tracking: Provide tracking and feedback on results to the Supervisor or Manager, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Examine outgoing shipments for any product defects, ensuring only high-quality products leave the facility.
- Packaging: Assemble, package products/materials for shipment if required, including wrapping and/or adding shipping protection per Standard Work Instructions.
- Labeling and Documentation: Attach identifying information and shipping labels onto boxes, reels or containers and ensure proper documentation is completed for shipments.
- Material Transport: Transport materials and finished products to appropriate departments or storage locations.
- Inventory Control: Assist with maintaining accurate inventory control records.
- Workspace Management: Maintain a neat and orderly work area and contribute to the organization and cleanliness of the shipping yard.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety requirements for the position and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Adaptability: Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of efficient shipping processes and provide ideas for improvement.
- Flexibility: Perform other duties as directed by management.
- Educational Skills: Reading, writing, and mathematical competency in English language.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of progressive experience in a shipping position in a manufacturing or warehouse environment loading flatbed trailers. Prefer 3 years or more experience in shipping with flatbed loading experience.
- Forklift Operation: Prior forklift operation and flatbed trailer loading experience is required.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable assistance.
- Tool Proficiency: Ability to use hand tools such as an electric saw, nail gun, hammer, wrapping/banding equipment and crowbar.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language.
- Mobility: Sufficient mobility to allow frequent entrance and exits from a lift truck.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred Skills: SAP and MS Excel experience is a plus.
