Maintenance Mechanic; 3rd shift

Maintenance Mechanic (3rd shift, Mon-Fri 11pm-7:30am) - $25-30/hr

Join the team at Shawmut Corporation to keep our production equipment and facilities running smoothly. As a hands‑on problem solver, you will construct, install, repair, and maintain plant equipment while troubleshooting issues and performing preventative maintenance.

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
• Work from blueprints, schematics, specifications, and manuals using a variety of tools.
• Conduct preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Inspect equipment and facilities, reporting potential issues to supervisors.
• Perform metal fabrication (welding, drilling, milling, tapping, turning steel) to meet plant needs.
• Maintain records of work performed and reports as required.
• Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of work areas and equipment.
• Execute miscellaneous maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, and minor electrical work.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Trade or Technical School preferred.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English to interpret setup sheets, SOPs, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to interpret basic blueprints.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn.
• Detail‑oriented.
• Must possess the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
