This role would suit a Roofer or a site supervisor/foreman/manager looking to progress into a SHEQ Manager role with experience in roofing, cladding, facades or construction, knowledge of health & safety legislation, and a passion for continuous improvement who is looking to progress into a management-focused position.
In this role, the successful candidate will be trained to lead SHEQ strategy across the business, carry out site inspections and audits, investigate incidents and non-conformances, support risk assessments and safe systems of work, and work closely with clients, auditors, regulators, and site teams to ensure consistently high standards.
The Role:- Leading and developing SHEQ strategy, policies and procedures across the business
- Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015, HSE requirements, British Standards, Building Regulations, PAS 9980 and BS 8414
- Investigating incidents, near misses and non-conformances while implementing corrective actions
- Delivering toolbox talks, SHEQ briefings and coaching to site teams and subcontractors
- Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm with no weekend working
- Roofer, site manager/supervisor/foreman or similar background
- Experience with in roofing, cladding, facades, construction or building envelope sectors
- Looking to get off the tools and be trained up to become a SHEQ Manager
- SMSTS, NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent qualifications (Preferred/can be trained)
