We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Rates Officer to join our Revenues Team.
This is a challenging but rewarding role; annualipes legislative changes require you to be flexible and able to adapt to changing demands. You will need to prioritise yourізацыі workload effectively, tackle problems, and implement solutions. You will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
On a day‑to‑day basis, your responsibilities include providing an efficient service to all businesses within the Ribble Valley, ensuring the effective administration of billing and collection of business rates according to statutory provisions and local procedures, and liaising with the Valuation Office Agency on rateable‑value amendments to keep the database updated.
Whilst knowledge of business‑rates legislation is essential, previous experience in a Local Authority revenues role is not required, although it would be san advantageous.
