Deputy Director of Digital – Bolton NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Director of Digital to support the delivery of our ambitious digital transformation programme.

• Provide senior leadership across digital services, ensuring the Trust continues to modernise its technology, optimise digital systems, and embed innovation across clinical and operational services.
• Support the Director of Digital in driving organisational change, improving service delivery, and ensuring that digital, data, and technology capabilities enable better outcomes for stakeholders.
• Contribute to Trust-wide transformation and Greater Manchester digital collaboration.
• Build strong partnerships across the organisation, champion innovation while ensuring robust governance, security, and value for money.
• Support the development and delivery of Bolton FT’s Digital Strategy, aligned with NHS England and Greater Manchester Integrated Care System priorities.

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008 and, in 2011, became an integrated provider with community health services joining the trust. Covering a catchment area that also incorporates parts of Bury, Wigan and Salford, we deliver hospital and community based services from the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth and from 20 health centres across Bolton, to a catchment population of 310,000+ people.

The Royal Bolton Hospital is a major hub within Greater Manchester for women’s and children’s services and is the busiest single ambulance‑receiving site in the region. We are structured in four clinical divisions – Community Services, Families and Diagnostics, Medicine, and Surgery – and are led by a Board of Directors. As an NHS Foundation Trust we are accountable to our members and have a Council of Governors to represent the views of patients, public, staff and partners.
