Supply Chain Planner

Clitheroe

8:30am –5pm, ideally Thursday to Monday. Flexibility on working days is allowed provided the schedule includes Saturday and Sunday coverage. The role is 39 hours per week, with a 1‑hour early finish on the final working day of the week.

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for the strategic and tactical planning of manufacturing and distribution activities, ensuring effective coordination and alignment of supply chain operations.

• Prepares production plans for supplying sites as directed.
• Raises, manages and receipts purchase orders.
• Provides analytical support for determining short‑ and long‑term capacity needs.
• Prepares sales, production and inventory plans for areas of responsibility as required.
• Works continually with production sites to ensure capacity and materials are available to achieve inventory targets.
• Advices production sites on production scheduling changes as deemed necessary.
• Develops capacity plans, maintaining a tracking log of all activities.
• Assists in production planning for other areas of the supply chain as required.
• Communicates production dates and finished goods availability to the Commercial Division, demand planners and other interested parties.
• Resolves potential shortage situations by proactively managing inventory levels at warehouses.
• During periods of product shortage, facilitates execution of product allocation plans.
• Proactively manages inventory turns and product movement by date code.
• Provides necessary reports and analysis to enable the Sales & Operational Planning process and participates in S&OP meetings.
• Tracks supply by market, surplus/short and old‑age inventories; communicates findings to facilitate resolution of identified issues.
• Works closely with all departments to proactively manage the new product introduction process.
• Identifies and executes opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency.

• Knows Health & Safety responsibilities, site rules, and brings attention to issues that could affect your own or others’ Health, Safety & Welfare.
• Works in a safe manner at all times.
• Fully complies with all signage, notices and warning labels.
• Brings to the attention of your manager any hazards or unsafe conditions that may lead to injury, ill health or damage.
• Participates fully in all Health, Safety & Environmental training sessions and Safety Briefings / Toolbox Talks.
• Ensures a good standard of housekeeping is maintained within the working environment to minimise the risk of injury to themselves or others.
• Correctly uses and stores the protective clothing and equipment provided.
• Reports all injuries, near misses and instances of ill health that occur at work and obtains the necessary First Aid treatment.
• Helps in the investigation of accidents to prevent recurrence.
• Sets a good example of safe behaviour, especially to new starters and young persons.
