Role Overview
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing a Yorkshire territory, identifying new opportunities and building long-term relationships with both new and existing customers. You will work closely with internal teams to maximise sales, grow margin and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key responsibilities- Proactively generating new business across your territory.
- Managing and growing an existing customer base.
- Delivering against sales and margin targets.
- Building and maintaining a healthy prospect pipeline.
- Planning your own territory activity and customer visits.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to support campaigns and service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate CRM activity, reporting and administration.
We are looking for someone who is commercially sharp, self‑motivated and confident working in a field‑based environment. You should have experience within food service, food, drink or a similar sector, along with a strong track record in business development and account management.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- A customer‑focused and professional approach.
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Strong IT and administrative skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
