This post assists the Senior HGV and Municipal Vehicle Technician in ensuring that the Council’s vehicle fleet is maintained to a high standard. The maintenance is undertaken in the Council’s vehicle workshop on the Salthill Industrial Estate, Clitheroe.

Assist with the maintenance and repair of the council’s heavy goods vehicles and municipal vehicles.

Ensure vehicles meet health, safety and operational standards.

Manage work schedules to keep vehicles available for use as required by the service.

Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in HGV maintenance.

LGV Category C driving licence – essential.

National Craft Certificate in HGV maintenance (or equivalent).

Fleet Operator Driving Test (FLT) licence – advantageous.

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to accommodate service needs.
