Job DescriptionClive Behavioral Health opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis. Care at this location focuses on crisis management, stabilization and development of a plan to return to community living with, if needed, supportive outpatient services and community services and resources.
ResponsibilitiesThe Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from preschool through geriatrics. All MHT’s work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). MHT’s may be required to work weekends, overtime and have flexible hours.
Qualifications- Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred;
Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline highly desirable. - Experience:
Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred. - Required License/Certification:
Successful completion of Management Aggressive Behavior Training, Service Excellence Training and CPR certification required. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation. Current Mandatory Reporter for Adult/Child. - Work Hours:
Rotating Weekends. Shifts include: 7:00am - 7:00pm; 3:00pm-11:30pm.
