Medical Laboratory Technician; MLT

Riam Recruiting is partnering with a well-established Critical Access hospital in Cloquet, MN, to help find both a full-time and part-time Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) to join their Laboratory Services team. This facility has been providing exceptional care to its community for decades and is dedicated to offering high-quality healthcare services in collaboration with both local and regional healthcare partners.

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) will perform routine laboratory tests and provide accurate data that assists in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. As an MLT, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of tests in accordance with established procedures, providing physicians with timely, precise test results that support patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform routine medical laboratory tests.
• Work in the Specimen Processing area, and may be asked to draw blood from patients both on-site and off-site.
• Adhere to laboratory procedures and policies to ensure accurate and efficient results.
• Assist physicians in evaluating and monitoring patient care by providing reliable data.

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) associate’s degree.
• ASCP certification required, or ability to obtain certification within one (1) year of hire.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Signing Bonus: $10,000.00
• Hourly Wage: $21.12 to $31.05, depending on experience and the union's pay specification.
• Shift Differential: Additional $1.80/hr Afternoons; $2.00/hr Nights; $0.65/hr Weekends.
