Overview
One of Insight Global's Industrial Manufacturing clients is looking to hire a traveling Superintendent/ Construction Manager. This person is responsible for leading and maintaining construction supervision services in support of a project, a manufacturing plant, or a particular process. The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating with internal departments and external organizations such as construction firms and material/equipment vendors to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Travel is virtually 100% to various manufacturing plants in the United States.
Position:
Traveling Superintendent/Construction Manager (100% travel). Pay: $50.00/hr - $55.00/hr per diem. This is a 100% travel position paid hourly between $50-$55/hr with per diem that will move every 3-12 months (majority of first projects will be between 3-4 months).
- Oversees and coordinates the safe delivery of services on projects with other employees, contract personnel, and outside companies
- Verify that all services and support in the area of expertise provided to capital and non-capital projects meet the need
- If applicable, supervises employees, conducts performance management activities, and provides coaching and feedback
- Develop accurate estimates for services (man hours, equipment, and material) relating to area of responsibility
- Recognize areas of potential improvement or enhancement and recommend changes in areas identified
- Interact effectively with individuals and groups at different levels
- Keep all interested parties informed of matters requiring their attention
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, rules, regulations, and policy developments affecting areas of responsibility
- HS Diploma or GED.
- 5-15 years of experience as a Construction Supervisor in industrial manufacturing environments.
- Knowledgeable with commissioning and start-up projects for large industrial equipment.
- Supervisory experience with contractors performing work on-site.
- Relevant safety training and knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
- Experience with manufacturing related to cement, mining, large process equipment, or oil and gas facilities.
