Produce Clerk

Overview

We are seeking to hire a friendly, energetic, and helpful person to work in our produce department. A successful candidate will have a strong desire to learn and work with produce items from virtually all around the world. The need to work hands on with all products is a must. The need to trim, rotate and fill produce items constantly to ensure the presentation of the finest and freshest items to our customers for purchasing.

Employees not only learn about each produce item, but they will also be required to share, educate and recommend items to customers with their produce purchases. The product mix is constantly changing with each growing season, as well as holiday items and local favorites.

• Starting Wage - $13.70 to $15.65

• Handle and prepare produce items from virtually everywhere in the world; work hands-on with all products.
• Trim, rotate and fill produce items to ensure presentation of the finest and freshest items for customers.
• Educate and recommend produce items to customers as they shop.
• Assist with product assortment that changes with growing seasons, holidays, and local favorites.

• Ability to lift, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers throughout the work shift.
• Lifting up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Shift availability mostly afternoons and evenings; part-time position.
• Advancement opportunities for employees who provide outstanding customer service and show a desire to learn.
• Preferred experience in Customer Service, Grocery Retail, or Sales.
