Interstate Waste Services is Now Hiring CDL B Front Load Garbage Truck Drivers!

Location: Home Depot:
Closter, NJ

Work Schedule: Monday - Saturday, 3am start

Hourly Pay rate: $31.91

Safety is our first Priority!

• Operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks for pickup of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclables and transport to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities; may perform one or more trips per shift.
• Drive both manual and automatic trucks; perform routine vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Navigate routes, perform lifting up to 50 pounds and moving up to 100 pounds, and repeatedly mount/dismount the truck as required per route.

• 21 years of age or older; legally eligible to work in the United States
• Valid Class A or B CDL; airbrake endorsement
• 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 7 years
• Excellent safety record and clean MVR
• Experience as a Driver or Helper for a refuse company is highly preferred
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA and applicable traffic regulations
• Ability to speak and read English to communicate with the public and complete records
• Ability to read and understand a map
• Meet physical and safety requirements; willingness to work hours as allowed under DOT regulations, including weekends, nights, and holidays

• Routes may require navigating congested communities and tight areas in city locations
• Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential
• Drivers may climb in and out of the cab to service customer accounts
• Pre- and post-trip inspections required; drivers ensure their truck complies with safety standards and applicable regulations

Salary Range: USD $31.91 per hour (minimum and maximum listed as $31.91/hr)
