Join Clovis Community College as a Biology Instructor in a full-time, tenure‑track position. The start date is August 5 2026 and the salary range is $71,054 – $106,970 plus a $2,419 doctoral stipend, with commensurate fringe benefits.
Responsibilities- Teach Biology majors and non‑majors in lecture and laboratory settings on campus and at off‑site community campuses.
- Develop and maintain curriculum and a transfer degree program in biology.
- Order and maintain equipment and supplies for laboratory sections.
- Cooperate with colleagues in course scheduling.
- Participate in curriculum review, program development revision, and accreditation. Serve on and attend department, college, and district committees as needed.
- Advising students, participating in student recruitment activities, and participating in evaluation of adjunct instructors.
- Teach in a variety of instructional settings, including evenings and weekends, online or off‑campus, and large‑group instruction as required.
- Assist with student learning outcome development, assessment, and course scheduling, and other duties required of instructors per Administrative Regulation 7122.
- Master’s in a biological science, or Bachelor’s in a biological science with a master’s in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science.
- Valid California Community College Credential, or equivalent education and/or experience (equivalency required).
- Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students; demonstrated equity‑minded practice in the classroom.
- Experience incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion in all areas of responsibility.
- Teaching experience in human biology, human anatomy, microbiology, and human physiology.
- Strong background in anatomy and/or physiology; experience teaching both lecture and laboratory biology courses.
- Knowledge of current assessment methods and student success models.

178 duty days per year. Annual salary $71,054 – $106,970. Doctoral stipend $2,419. Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee and dependents, life insurance, and membership in the California State Teacher’s Retirement System (CalSTRS).
