• Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into shopping carts and provide assistance loading their vehicles.
• Check and apply retail prices on shelf items.
• Pull merchandise from the check stand (go backs) and return it to the proper shelf; walk aisles and return misplaced items to their proper location.
• Monitor cleanliness of the store entrance: sweep the front area inside and outside, pick up trash, mop outside walkways and clean entrance/exit doors daily.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the day: sweep, mop and clean, restock restrooms as needed.
• Perform general store maintenance duties as required to keep the store clean and organized.

• Read and write English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and short correspondence.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
