Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

- Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
- Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
- Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
- Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
Typical responsibilities include the following:
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
- Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve their experience
- Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target
- Know and speak to benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Explain how to use Target App features, including Wallet
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and help guests enroll and use these features
- Handle returns following store policies and procedures with support from leaders as needed
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
- Work safely; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards
- Support guest services such as order pickup, Drive-up orders, and related duties while ensuring compliance with laws
- All other duties based on business needs
- You enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and fellow team members
- You thrive in a fast-moving, active and physically demanding role, where teamwork and flexibility are key
- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and peak times)
Skills / Qualifications (from the get-go)
- Effective communication with positive language and attentiveness to guests’ needs
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
- Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within time frames
- Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office operations as needed
- Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
- Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
