* * Position Summary
** Under general supervision of and in accordance with Clovis Community College and departmentally established practices and expectations, adjunct instructors work collaboratively with other faculty within the College and their discipline to ensure that key concepts of the specific discipline are addressed.
** Duties & Responsibilities

* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

*** Teaching assignments may vary depending on the specific qualifications and expertise of the individual.
* The Instructor will provide students with a complete syllabus containing course outcomes and competencies
* Present well prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus
* continually promote development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, computation, problem solving, assessment, and decision-making
* Provide students with timely information and feedback on academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic performance
* Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of all college policies.
* Use technology tools including, but not limited to, Canvas, Starfish, e-mail, MS Office, and the Internet.

* PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

** Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 20 lbs.
** SCHEDULE DETAILS:
** Monday thru Thursday from 8am to 1pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

* Minimum Qualifications:

* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

*** Cosmetology License through New Mexico Boards of Barbers and Cosmetologists required.
* Three years full-time work experience as a cosmetologist or barber.

* PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*** Teaching license through New Mexico Boards of Barbers and Cosmetologist preferred.
