Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating accounts in the Hospital Information System.
• Act as a gatekeeper to validate and verify the demographic information updated by the patient at the time of service.
• Ensure the patient’s medical record number is not duplicated to ensure patient safety.
• Provide a high level of customer service when dealing with physicians, hospital departments, patients, and their families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Less than one year of experience in a clerical office setting or in a healthcare setting.
• One to two years of customer service experience.
• Must be able to work cooperatively with the public as well as all levels of staff and management in the organization.
• Requires exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
• Basic computer keyboard experience and ten‑key required.
• Must pass EPIC competency for Registration at completion of Epic Clerical Training class.
