Adjunct Faculty in Emergency Medical Services
Position:
Adjunct EMS Instructor (Part-time) at Clovis Community College. Teaches in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. Under the direction of the EMS Program Director, the instructor prepares and delivers didactic and laboratory education that aligns with State of New Mexico and National EMS Standards curricula. Duties are performed within the context of a community college mission.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of three years’ work experience in EMS
- NM certified instructor under one of the teaching institutions within NM or able to obtain NM instructor recognition
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Current NM EMT, Paramedic, or EMT-Intermediate license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher
- 5 or more years of work experience in EMS
- Detail oriented with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion, multi-tasking, and ability to handle high-pressure environments; willingness to pursue professional and personal growth
- Certification as an EMT or Paramedic Level I or II instructor
- Experience teaching at the community college level
