• Provide best‑in‑class guest service: greet guests promptly, respond to questions and concerns courteously, assist guests in meeting their gaming needs, inform about promotions and trade‑in program, recommend additional items, apply all selling behaviours during each transaction, and express gratitude.
• Support the overall shopping environment and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS system.
• Address guest questions by phone promptly and professionally.
• Promote Game Stop’s guest benefits such as new title reservations and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
• Ensure all areas of the store are clean, organised, and merchandised according to guidelines, and that fixtures and equipment are operational.
• Complete omni‑channel orders daily.
• Safeguard company assets through inventory control and loss prevention, including bank deposits as required.
• Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and maintain product order on the sales floor.
• Support management in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties.
• Reconcile daily business transaction totals in the POS system and complete closeout paperwork.
• Check shipments for discrepancies and report to management as needed.
• Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately.
• Visually inspect associates’ and leaders’ packages at closing or shift end.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to sales associates in management’s absence.
• Adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Observe associate performance and provide timely feedback to management.

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of retail sales, guest service, or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.
• Able to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

• Exceptional guest service skills.
• Genuine and friendly assistance to every guest during each visit.
• Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferences.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Meet associate performance expectations including attendance, professional dress, and grooming.
• Operate POS and complete required paperwork.
• Basic math skills and alphabetising skills.
• Self‑motivation and teamwork ability.
• Problem‑solving skills and judgment abilities.
• Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Deliver bank deposits following safety guidelines.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays; minimum 3 days per week.
• Remain effective under pressure and handle stress appropriately.
• Move merchandise up to 30 lbs from ground level to at least 4 ft; bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders.
• Stand and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

Full‑time store positions at Game Stop are eligible to participate in incentive programmes, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Positions may also be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentives.

$12.50 - $15.25 per hour
