Program Coordinator

As an integral member of Portfolio Resident Services, you will enhance the quality of life for residents in affordable housing communities by delivering CORES-certified programs that build knowledge, marketable skills, and healthy lifestyles.

Pay Range

$17.50 per hour (fixed)

Responsibilities
  • Provide a welcoming and inviting atmosphere to all residents, serving as the initial point of contact at the community center.
  • Prepare monthly reports from calendar activities, sign‑in sheets, and contracted program hours.
  • Design, create, and distribute monthly calendars and weekly flyers to advertise activities and program offerings on‑site; deliver materials door‑to‑door throughout the property.
  • Oversee program offerings and activities, recruit volunteers, solicit donations, and collaborate with community partners.
  • Log communications with volunteers, community partners, and donations regularly, and submit a monthly log.
  • Provide information to residents about local resources or assistance within the community.
  • Enlist resident support and participation in program planning; identify additional services or programs needed and communicate resident needs to personnel.
  • Monitor, observe, and interact with children, adults, and seniors independently.
  • Maintain sign‑in sheets for each activity and program offering, regardless of participation.
  • Use tax‑exempt certificate and number responsibly; monitor monthly petty cash and replenish consumable goods, supplies, paper, office supplies, and basic cleaning supplies.
  • Supervise community center use while maintaining a clean and organized presentation.
  • Maintain neat organization of all PRS binders, documents, and forms for presentation upon request to property management and resident services personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by direct management or PRS corporate staff.
Qualifications
  • Must be available to work one day per week; hours 12‑5 pm (Monday‑Friday).
  • Relevant experience or volunteer experience in education, social work, non‑profit, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children, teens, adults, and/or seniors in various capacities.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and multitask.
  • Exceptional organizational, computer, and administrative skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with community and social service resources.
  • Must have a home computer, access to email, and capability to do light printing.
