You Will Do
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential, and proprietary business information responsibly.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to research and provide accurate answers to customers using everyday language.
- Serve as a virtual, customer‑facing agent, using Smartlook video communications software to interact with customers.
- Help Turbo Tax Business customers with:
- Tax advice
- Full‑service business return preparation and signature
- Product/software inquiries
- Tax calculations
- Filing tax extensions
- Create high‑quality customer interactions that build confidence through deep empathy and extensive tax‑preparation knowledge.
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve tax advice and return‑preparation issues.
- Document customer interactions.
- Work continuously toward meeting company key‑performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
- Strong business tax preparation experience with 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax‑preparation software.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax‑preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per year in a tax practice or retail setting.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books‑to‑tax preparation strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficiency with technology; solid computer operations and software knowledge.
- Strong customer‑service skills – ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools professionally, friendly, and confidently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria.
- Must reside in the United States.
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a strong pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position varies by region:
- Bay Area California: $31.10 – $35.50
- Southern California: $31.10 – $35.50
- Colorado: $29.60 – $34.10
- Hawaii: $31.10 – $35.50
- Illinois: $29.60 – $34.10
- Maryland: $29.60 – $34.10
- Massachusetts: $31.10 – $35.50
- Minnesota: $26.60 – $33.80
- New Jersey: $31.10 – $35.50
- New York: $31.10 – $35.50
- Ohio: $26.60 – $33.80
- Vermont: $29.60 – $34.10
- Washington: $31.10 – $35.50
- Washington DC: $29.60 – $34.10
In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits, in accordance with Intuit’s applicable plans and programs. Pay is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Intuit conducts regular pay‑equity comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
