The shift pattern for this post is 9am-5pm.
This is a Fixed term post for 1 year.
Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
You will work with adults with learning disability, providing psychiatric input to a multidisciplinary team of specialist healthcare and social work professionals of a Health & Social Care Partnership. The post will be based in Clydebank, and covers the whole of West Dunbartonshire HSCP.

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde serves a total population of 1.2 million. The learning disability psychiatry team includes 13 Consultants, 1 Academic, 1 Specialty Grade Doctor and trainees. There is an active CPD and medical audit programme within LD psychiatry that the applicant would be welcome to attend and contribute to.
Applicants should be registered and licensed by the GMC, be an Approved Medical Practitioner for the Mental Health (care & treatment) Scotland Act (or equivalent) and should hold (or be within 6 months of achieving a) CCT in Psychiatry of Learning Disability.
Funding is only available for 0.6 FTE, however additional sessions in either LD psychiatry or GA psychiatry are often available within the health board and applicants seeking a full time post are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate may, where appropriate to their specialty and service requirements, contribute to the Interface Directorate. This may include supporting patient pathways, providing clinical advice, cross-site working or appropriate virtual clinical activity. Any involvement will be discussed and agreed, reflecting clinical governance, post requirements and wider service needs across NHSGGC
