We’re recruiting an Operational Finance Manager to take full financial responsibility for a portfolio of operational entities. This is a high-visibility role offering the opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders and influence performance across a complex and growing organisation.
The Role You will take end-to-end (“top to bottom") ownership of your portfolio, covering:
Financial reporting and control Commercial decision support Cash flow and funding management Contract interpretation and performance Budgeting, forecasting, and long-term modelling You’ll work closely with the Finance Director, Board stakeholders, and operational teams to ensure strong financial governance alongside driving commercial value.
Key Responsibilities Prepare high-quality monthly management accounts, including analysis and insights Own statutory reporting and lead the audit process Develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial models Monitor cash positions, funding requirements, and covenant compliance Interpret commercial contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost recovery Oversee the financial operations (including cost allocation and margin control) Design and manage intercompany charging models Act as a trusted finance business partner to operational and bid teams Drive process improvement and enhance reporting accuracy and transparency About You Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 3 years PQE Strong experience managing multiple entities or complex group structures Proven ability to take ownership of end-to-end financial operations Commercially astute with experience in contract-driven environments Confident communicator, able to influence non-finance stakeholders Advanced Excel skills;
experience with SAP/S4
