Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Fast-Track Progression York (approximately 2 miles from the city centre) £40,000 - £45,000 This is not your typical Management Accountant position. We're partnering with a rapidly growing multi-site organisation looking for an ambitious finance professional to join at a pivotal stage of expansion. With new locations planned and the finance function set to grow significantly over the next 12 months, this role offers genuine progression into a more senior leadership position.

Working closely with an experienced Finance Director, you'll gain exposure across the entire finance function, combining management accounting responsibilities with hands-on operational finance activity. Initially, you'll take ownership of monthly management accounts while also supporting transactional finance activities including cash flow management, reconciliations, payroll support, banking, ledgers and process improvement. It's a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to understand every moving part of a finance function before progressing into a more senior leadership role. As the business grows, the role will naturally evolve towards:
Reviewing management accounts Budgeting and forecasting Cash flow planning Commercial analysis Team leadership and mentoring Supporting strategic business decisions About You Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Strong all-round accounting experience Happy to remain hands-on while developing your leadership skills Ambitious, proactive and looking for genuine career progression Strong Excel and finance systems knowledge Interested?
