Overview
NHS 24 is Scotland’s national tele‑health and tele‑care provider, offering patient‑focused telephone and online services 24/7. This role is based at the Clydebank Regional Centre and invites experienced nurse practitioners to deliver high‑quality telephone assessment and clinical supervision to a multi‑disciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Provide autonomous telephone triage and clinical assessment to patients and carers, ensuring clinically safe decisions.
- Deliver real‑time clinical support to NHS‑24 frontline staff, facilitating person‑centred outcomes.
- Advise on self‑care and wellness, refer appropriate care when needed, and maintain accurate health information records.
- Use a range of models to give clinical supervision to non‑clinical staff.
- Registered as an Adult nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register.
- Extensive post‑registration experience, ideally in acute or primary care, with broad clinical knowledge specialties.
- Excellent clinical decision‑making with continuous supervision and leadership ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; critical decision‑making expertise.
Permanent contract at Band 6, £41,608 – £50,702* (pro‑rata for part‑time). Competitive hourly rates for unsocial hours: £21.57 basic, £32.34 Saturday/after‑8pm weekday, £43.13 Sunday/public holiday. Example earnings estimate (37‑hour rota): £3,467 base + £1,248 enhancements = £4,715 total monthly.
Shift patterns: 16, 24, 30 hrs/week across an 8‑week rota, with 8/8 or 5/8 weekend distribution.
