This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to join our team. You will be an integral part of the Orthopaedic Theatre team whilst participating in the continued theatre expansion and be part of the pioneering Orthopaedic robotic programme currently provided within NHS Golden Jubilee, consisting of MAKO robots and Velys robots. We also provide a tertiary revision arthroplasty service.

As we continue to expand our services, this is your chance to become part of a progressive, dynamic, and reputable team, within a world-renowned healthcare organisation. The Department of Orthopaedics at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is the largest arthroplasty unit in the United Kingdom, performing 4308 total hip and knee replacements between 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, We also perform a variety of foot and ankle procedures as well as soft tissue knee and hand/wrist surgery for the NHS in Scotland.

Perioperative nursing within NHS Golden Jubilee is proud to acknowledge the strong person centred reputation that it has established; this is central to and is a major part of all that is delivered by the teams here.

There is an opportunity for further learning and development in this role, with in-house development courses on offer. Our Clinical Education team is on hand to provide support, from staff induction to delivering monthly education days in areas such as Basic Life Support and Manual Handling, as well as speciality specific training sessions. You will be fully supported and provided with a mentor to support your learning and development.

The successful post holder should demonstrate a commitment to; safe, high quality, patient-centred, evidence-based care, through auditing and service improvement whilst fostering a ‘can-do’ attitude within the team. The post holder should demonstrate excellent communication skills.
This role requires flexible working over 7 days and covering on call rotas overnight and l and part-time hours are available. Only NMC UK registered applications will be considered.
