The board is seeking to employ a plumbing‑biased maintenance technician who will maintain building services for the Hospital, Hotel and associated areas and provide technical support to other departments as required on a 24/7 basis.
Post holder(s) will be part of a trained multi‑skilled team interacting across electrical, mechanical and plumbing skills. They are responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor on operational matters and accountable to the Estates Manager.
This is a rotating shift position: three days on, three days off, three nights on, three days off.
The successful candidate will have completed a recognised apprenticeship and hold a relevant City & Guilds or equivalent qualification. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a wide knowledge of all trade skills utilised within the healthcare built environment as they will be required to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary workforce.
As the post holder will be working within a close‑knit team, good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Please note working hours are subject to change in line with National Working Time Reduction (WTR).
