Position Summary

This role is responsible for financial management, reporting, and analysis of nut tree agricultural operations. You’ll combine grower accounting, cost accounting, and financial analysis to support decision‑making, settlements, and orchard profitability.

• Maintain accurate grower accounting records by ranch, block, variety, and crop year
• Prepare and review grower settlements, including production costs, assessments, advances, and payouts
• Track and allocate direct and indirect farming costs
• Reconcile production volumes, inventory movements, and cost allocations
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, budgets, and forecasts
• Act as a key finance user for the agricultural ERP system
• Ensure GAAP compliance and support audits, tax preparation, and lender reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Business, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in accounting or cost accounting
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, cost models)
• Experience with ERP or agricultural management systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally

• Agricultural accounting experience
• Familiarity with nut tree crops (almonds, pistachios, walnuts)
• Knowledge of crop‑year accounting and orchard economics
• Experience with grower settlements and ranch‑level financials
