Summary

This position is responsible for providing oversight and strategically administering all benefits programs. This includes ensuring the seamless and accurate execution of all benefits‑related processes, supporting vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.

  • Serve as a primary contact and subject matter expert for team members questions, assistance and support.
  • Adjudicate the benefits enrollment and termination process for new hires, status changes, and departing employees, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain all benefits data and records, ensuring accuracy and integrity within HR databases.
  • Administer the benefits open enrollment process, including communication, employee enrollment, and data transfer.
  • Process and reconcile all benefits‑related invoices from vendors and third‑party administrators (TPAs).
  • Act as a liaison between team members, management, and benefits vendors to resolve complex claims, coverage issues, and disputes.
  • Prepare and present regular benefits reports to management by analyzing data from HR systems.
  • Serve as a contact for all vendors and TPAs, ensuring they receive appropriate documentation and are held accountable for service level agreements.
  • Support the process of annual benefits program evaluations and market analysis to compare existing plans with industry standards and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Support and lead the development and delivery of all benefits‑related communications and presentations, including annual open enrollment and new hire orientation.
  • Administer all employees leave programs (FMLA, USERRA, etc.) to ensure compliance with company policy and federal regulations.
  • Respond to all state disability claims and notifications.
  • Maintain employee benefit files and perform other recordkeeping as required.
  • Support to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws governing benefits administration, including HIPAA, PPACA, FMLA, USERRA, and COBRA.
  • Provide strategic reports and information to the HR Director and Tribal Health Board of Trustees.
  • Support and document the worker’s compensation claims process for all Tribal entities in coordination with safety and legal teams.
  • Supervise all vendor visits and benefits‑related events, such as wellness programs, open enrollment, and health fairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities over other employees, but it is responsible for the overall administration and oversight of the benefits programs and related processes.
