Commercialquantity Surveyor

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team at Western Building Systems
. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well‑established construction specialist delivering high‑quality modular, panelised and timber frame projects across Ireland and the UK
.

The successful candidate will work closely with project and site teams, supporting the commercial management of projects from pre‑contract through to final account

• Assist in the commercial management of construction projects from tender stage to completion
• Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets and valuations
• Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
• Preparation and negotiation of subcontractor packages
• Monitor project costs and report on commercial performance
• Manage variations, applications for payment and final accounts
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure cost control
• Support accurate forecasting and reporting throughout the project lifecycle

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry is desirable
• Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
• Experience preferred; however training and development will be provided for less experienced candidates who demonstrate a strong desire to learn and progress
• Familiarity with a range of construction contract forms is desirable
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
