Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer Coalville  Panama (Days & Nights)  £55,000

Are you an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a leading UK manufacturing business? We're recruiting for a skilled engineer to join a busy production site in Coalville, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring manufacturing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Working in a fast paced manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the installation of new equipment.

The Role

As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs, with a focus on electrical and automation systems.
Diagnosing faults using PLCs, HMIs, alarms, instrumentation, and electrical test equipment.
Repairing and maintaining motors, drives, sensors, encoders, servo systems, safety circuits, and other control equipment.
Supporting control system upgrades and maintaining accurate technical documentation.
Completing inspections, testing, calibration, adjustments, and safety checks.
Complete mechanical tasks such as bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, and alignment.
Performing routine maintenance on site services including boilers, compressors, chillers, fire and sprinkler systems, and water hygiene systems.
Investigating recurring equipment faults, identifying root causes, and working with Production and Engineering teams to implement long-term solutions.
Maintaining accurate records using the site's Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Assisting with the installation, commissioning, testing, and handover of new or modified equipment.
Participating in training and developing skills across a range of production equipment and maintenance disciplines.

About You To be successful in this role, you'll have:

A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
At least 3 years' maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
A good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
