Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 per year (depending on experience)
Electract Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Accounts Manager to join our team based at our Bardon Hill office in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking to take ownership of key financial processes while managing a small accounts team and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing reporting requirements, and supporting operational performance across our contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a small accounts team consisting of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger personnel.
- Maintain applications for Industrial Contracts and self-billing arrangements on new-build housing contracts.
- Maintain the nominal ledger, including:
- Journal entries
- Bank reconciliations
- Raising Payments
- Fixed asset management
- Prepare quarterly Work in Progress (WIP) reports for Small Works and Housing Contracts.
- Analyse financial performance across Small Works and Housing Contracts.
- Review, check and sign off weekly payroll.
- Provide cover for the Payroll Co-ordinator during periods of absence.
- Support the wider finance function and contribute to continuous process improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Part-qualified or qualified AAT status, or equivalent experience gained in a similar finance role.
- Previous experience managing or supervising a small team.
- Strong working knowledge of sales and purchase ledger functions.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge and experience of payroll processes would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
- Salary of £33,000 - £37,000, depending on experience
