Business Administration, Office Administrator/ Coordinator, Supply Chain & Logistics
If you’re highly organised, great with customers and naturally good at keeping lots of moving parts on track, this could be a brilliant next move.
We’re recruiting for a Customer Account Coordinator to join a well-established business, taking responsibility for customer orders from initial placement right through to delivery.
This is a busy, varied role where you’ll become the link between customers, suppliers and teams across the business. You’ll manage critical paths, keep a close eye on timescales and make sure everyone has the information they need to keep orders moving.
You don’t necessarily need experience from a particular industry. What’s more important is that you’re organised, commercially aware, comfortable managing multiple priorities and confident dealing with customers and suppliers.
What you’ll be doingYou’ll take ownership of customer orders and contracts, following them through every stage and making sure deadlines, information and expectations are managed effectively.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Receiving and processing customer orders and contracts.
- Raising purchase orders and maintaining accurate information across internal systems and customer platforms.
- Managing critical paths from order placement through to final delivery, monitoring key dates and identifying potential delays or issues before they become a problem.
- Liaising regularly with suppliers to monitor progress and keep orders on track.
- Working closely with the sales team on lead times and managing customer expectations.
- Keeping customers updated throughout the process and responding to queries quickly and professionally.
- Monitoring contracts and identifying any shortages, over-production or discrepancies.
- Coordinating with import and warehouse teams around stock receipts and dispatches.
- Checking pricing and contract information to ensure customers are invoiced correctly.
- Identifying potential sales opportunities and feeding these back to the sales team.
- Understanding how changes to an order may impact other areas of the business and communicating these effectively.
We’re keeping an open mind on background.
What matters is that you can demonstrate:
- Experience managing orders, customers, projects or contracts through multiple stages.
- The ability to manage critical paths, deadlines and changing priorities.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence managing multiple customer accounts or workloads at the same time.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- A proactive approach. You’ll spot when something isn’t going to plan and do something about it.
- Good IT skills and confidence learning new systems.
- The ability to work independently while being very much part of the wider team.
- A genuinely varied role with plenty of responsibility.
- The opportunity to take ownership of your own customer accounts and orders.
- A supportive, established team around you.
- A stable and successful business with long-term opportunities.
- A role where being organised, proactive and good with people really makes a difference.
