Syntech Recruitment is supporting a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in Coalville seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for an initial 4-week contract.

This role will suit a mechanically competent assembler with experience working to engineering drawings, maintaining tolerances, and operating within structured quality‑controlled environments. The work involves the assembly of fabricated and structural components used within industrial systems.

This is a hands‑on, workshop‑based role requiring accuracy, consistency, and strong mechanical discipline.

• Assemble mechanical and fabricated components to engineering drawings
• Build sub‑assemblies and full assemblies within specified tolerances
• Drill, align, and fit structural components accurately
• Install base plates and anchor bolts to specified depth and torque
• Maintain dimensional accuracy, including drilling depth and alignment tolerances
• Support installation‑ready builds for dispatch

• Complete assembly and audit documentation
• Record torque settings accurately (up to 200
  
  Nm)
• Apply and verify witness marks where required
• Measure verticality and alignment using digital levels
• Check angles and fitment using digital measuring tools
• Ensure all assemblies meet internal quality and safety standards

• Impact drivers
• Nut runners
• Calibrated torque wrenches
• Drilling equipment (including dust extraction systems)
• Digital measuring tools and levels
