Wash plant operative

Are you an experienced Machine Operative with a good understanding of static plants and isolation procedures?

Do you have a great eye for detail and fault finding?

If you answered yes then Holcim are looking for someone just like you to join them as a Wash plant operative trialling a new project. The successful candidate will be someone who has a manufacturing background, is flexible and happy to work independently.

£13.45 per hour for day shift,

£17.62 per hour for afternoon shifts and then £19.87 per hour for night shift

For the first 1-2 months you will be training on the day shift Monday to Friday. Once your training is completed you will move onto afternoons and when competent to work alone on to the night shift.

Days - 05:30 - 14:00

Afternoons - 13:30 - 22:00

Nights - 21:00 - 06:30

6-12 months initially with the view to extend or offer a permanent position depending on performance

ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)

• Managing and maintaining the wash plant
• Basic fault finding
• Check all production belts are working correctly
• Basic housekeeping, cleaning and maintaining machinery and working area
• Communicating with internal and external contacts in a clear and efficient manner

• Prior experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• Previous experience as a machine operator
• Capacity to operate with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of isolation procedures
• Previous experience in a mineral washing plant (desirable)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Great attention to detail
• Open minded towards change, new processes and improvement initiatives
